ARLINGTON, Texas -- Midwestern State made an early exit from the 2022 Lone Star Conference Tournament. The 29th-ranked Mustangs, who were the fourth seed, dropped at the hands of No. 73 Texas A&M-Kingsville, the fifth seed. After falling in doubles, MSU battled to lead the Javelinas 3-2 before falling 4-3 in the end.

Hannah Yip posted a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles over Noemi Sante and Milou Ter Morshe. The 26th-ranked duo hold a 20-2 record and remain undefeated at line two. The TAMUK team falls to a 9-12 record for the year.
Emilijia Visic made quick work in defeating Raina Zaffar at line four. The sophomore's 6-0, 6-1 win put her at a 19-2 tally for the season. Visic won her last three matches to reach a 6-1 record at line four. Zaffar posted her tenth loss at line four.
Ethne Dowling followed with a 6-4, 6-1 takedown of Sante. The junior saw her fourth victory at line three and 18th overall. The defeat puts Sante at 8-9 at line three for the 2022 season.
Skylar Minns tied the match with a three-set win at line five. The sophomore pushed to win the first and third sets against Ter Morsche. Minns has an 18-7 tally for the year and is 4-1 at line five. Ter Morsche falls to 11-6 at line five.
The Javelinas clinched the match at line six.Â
