LAST MEETING | Lubbock Christian's NCAA Division II record-breaking home win streak in women's basketball hit a milestone, as the No.13 Lady Chaparrals defeated Midwestern State 75-64 last season to extend the win streak to 100 games inside Rip Griffin Center, which passes the NCAA Division I record of 99 held by UConn. Lubbock Christian closed out the first half with a 10-2 run to take 38-30 lead at intermission. The Lady Chaps extended their lead to 16 points in the fourth quarter. Laynee Burr scored 17 points and Ashton Duncan added 14 for Lubbock Christian, which had four players score in double figures. Burr set a Rip Griffin Center record in the contest by going 12-of-12 from the free-throw line, and Allie Schulte surpassed 1,500 career points. Midwestern State shot 51 percent from the floor and was 6 of 10 from beyond the arc, but the Lady Chaps hit 27 of 31 free throws, while the Mustangs were 10 of 16 at the foul line.
Morgan Lenahan led MSU with 16 points,
Frances King poured in 15 points, and
Hannah Reynolds finished with 10 points and six rebounds for the Mustangs. Lubbock Christian only had eight turnovers and scored 21 points off 18 MSU turnovers.

Dyamon Griggs matched a career high with 26 points, but it wasn't enough to undo a hot shooting night by the No. 5-ranked West Texas A&M. The Lady Buffs buried 12 3-pointers to roll to an 87-71 win Friday night at First United Bank Center.
