FRISCO, Texas – Sophomore forward Kerbie Cash was named to the All-Lone Star Conference first team announced Wednesday night during the annual championship banquet at Main Event in Frisco, Texas, ahead of the LSC Basketball Championship, which is set to tip off Friday at Comerica Center.

Cash was named to the All-Freshman team last season and was selected to the All-LSC third team.

This year, the sophomore from Wylie, Texas, was the fourth leading scorer in the LSC with 16.6 points per game. She was the third-leading rebounder in the league with 8.2 boards per game.

Cash finished the campaign with five consecutive double-double performances, giving her nine double-doubles for the season. She had five games where she was one rebound shy of a double-double. She scored double figures in all but five games this season.

Cash appeared in all 25 games with 24 starts and played 26.5 minutes per outing for the Mustangs.

Cash had 32 points and 16 rebounds against Rio Piedras in an 81-38 victory in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She scored 21 or more points in 10 games this season, including a 25-point performance on 8-of-13 shooting at Lubbock Christian.

Cash had the third-most free-throw attempts in the LSC this season and shot 72.1 percent from the foul line (119-of-165).

Cash was also the team leader and fifth in the conference with 2.1 steals per game. She had six games with four steals for the Mustangs.

Texas Woman's senior forward Gabby Elliott claimed Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year honors to headline the league's postseason awards, which are voted on by the league's 17 head coaches.
