LAST MEETING | Texas Woman's shot 56.4 percent (31 of 55) from the field, and Scout Huffman scored 21 points as the Pioneers defeated Midwestern State, 84-64, at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in their final meeting last season. Huffman was 8 of 10 from the field in the victory. Kelslyn King poured in 16 points, and Brielle Woods finished with 14 points and six rebounds for the Pioneers. TWU snapped a three-game losing streak in the series after MSU had won a non-conference meeting at Denton earlier in the season, 83-76. The Mustangs were 22 of 60 (36.7%) from the field, and Hannah Reynolds led three players in double figures with 21 points in the loss. Morgan Lenahan had 17 points, and Frances King added 10 for MSU.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State held a 70-65 lead with 1:35 remaining in the fourth quarter, but Erika Ankney scored seven points in a span of 33 seconds as Oklahoma Baptist took a 72-70 lead with 54 seconds remaining, and the Bison went on to defeat the Mustangs, 77-73. Midwestern State jumped out to an 11-1 lead as Yasmine Sifaoui scored the first eight points of the game for the Mustangs. Oklahoma Baptist hit 11 of 14 free throws in the first quarter to take a 20-17 lead at the end of the period. Sheridan Bostic made two free throws and hit a bank shot in the paint to score four points in the final five seconds of the second quarter as Midwestern State took the halftime lead, 35-34. Midwestern State held OBU to 3 of 17 shooting in the third quarter, while Mandy Withey and Dyamon Griggs combined to score 13 of 16 points in the period, and the Mustangs took a 51-43 lead into the fourth quarter. Midwestern State led by 15 points following a Griggs layup with 7:45 remaining in the game. Oklahoma Baptist was 9 of 14 from the field and hit 15 of 17 free throws in the fourth quarter to outscore MSU in the final period, 34-22. Griggs scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and grabbed five rebounds for the Mustangs. Withey recorded her second career double-double at MSU, scoring 12 points and matching a career-high with 13 rebounds. Withey had a team-high five assists, and the Mustangs had 20 total assists on 24-of-57 shooting from the field. Bostic scored 16 points and grabbed a career high nine rebounds for the Mustangs, who outrebounded the Bison, 48-33.
