LAWTON, Okla. -- Midwestern State's Madison Brown edged two golfers in a one-hole playoff to finish runner-up in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon at the Lawton Country Club.

The junior from Kemp, Texas, carded scores of 74 and 73 to close with a 36-hole, 5-over total of 147 before outlasting McLennan College's Mia Clarke and Cameron's Ozlyan Juarez in the playoff as she parred the par-3 ninth hole.

It was Brown's second consecutive Top 10 finish after tying for 10th in the West Regional Preview last week at the Golf Club of Dallas.

The Mustangs, however slipped from the top of the team leader board to finish fifth with a 36-over total of 604 logging team scores of 298 and 306.

MSU sophomore Makenna Henry, who was playing as an individual medalist only, produced her highest collegiate individual finish by tying for fifth carding scores of 73 and 75 for a 6-over total of 148.

Fellow sophomore Brecklyn Flanagan, another individual medalist only, tied for 12th recording duplicate, 4-over 75s, while MSU's third individual medalist - Hollie James - tied for 26th with scores of 79 and 76 for a 13-over total of 155.

Senior Beatrice Perucchini (74-77) tied for 15th with a 9-over total of 151, while freshman Tristan Gabbard tied for 18th notching scores of 74 and 78 for a 10-over total of 152.

Fellow frosh Kodi Nolen (79-76/155 +13) and Alli Reily (78-81 159/+17) tied for 26th and 33rd, respectively.

Oklahoma Christian (300-293) claimed top team honors with a 25-over total of 593. The Eagles were trailed by Cameron (298-300 598/+30), Angelo State (300-299 599/+31), McLennan College (302-300 602/+34) and MSU.

Cameron junior Ellie Fellers (74-71) topped the individual leader board with a 3-over total of 145 to win by three strokes.

Midwestern State closed the fall portion of the schedule finishing in the top five of three of four tournaments including a runner-up showing in the season opening Swan Memorial.
