First Serve
Midwestern State hosts No. 31-ranked St. Mary's in the NCAA DII Round of 32 at the MSU Tennis Center on Monday, May 13, at 2 p.m.
The winner advances to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championships site of the Sanlando Park Tennis Center in Altamonte Springs, Fla., from May 22-25.
Last Time Out
MSU romped through the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament to win its fifth league postseason title in the last six seasons. The Mustangs trampled Tarleton State, 4-1, for their third-straight tourney crown.
Second Time Around
The Mustangs and Rattlers met on Feb. 28 this season in Wichita Falls with the Maroon and Gold taking a 5-2 win to end a four-match skid to St. Mary's. After sweeping doubles, MSU Texas won four, three-set matches to clinch the win. In total, five of the six courts needed a decisive third set.

Tourney History
The Mustangs make their 19th overall and seventh consecutive postseason appearance in 22 years as a NCAA Division II member. MSU Texas advanced to the national tournament site on seven occasions including a pair of national quarterfinal showings (2015, 2017).
Midwestern hosts its sixth NCAA Tournament match in the last seven seasons. The Mustangs advanced after hosting in all five trips.
Moving On Up
MSU Texas remained in the top 15, falling two spots to No. 14 in the Oracle/ITA National Team rankings released last Wednesday.

Midwestern State won its fifth LSC Postseason Tournament title in the last six seasons with a 4-1 victory against 34th-ranked Tarleton State on Saturday at the Waco Regional Tennis Center.
MSU eclipses the 20-win plateau for the seventh time in program history with its third-straight league tournament crown. The Maroon and Gold previously won the LSC's championship in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Coach
Scott Linn garnered the conference's coach of the year honors for the third-straight season. Midwestern State eclipsed the 20-win plateau for the seventh time in school history and won its fifth league postseason title in the last six seasons.
MSU Texas Collects 500th Program Win
Midwestern State collected win No. 500 in program history on April 16 against Oklahoma Baptist. The Mustangs (506-334-3) became the seventh MSU program to eclipse the 500-win plateau.
Doubles Decider
The doubles point has proved to be decisive for the Mustangs this season. MSU Texas is 16-1 when grabbing the early edge and 4-5 when falling into a hole.
After dropping the point in seven-straight, the Maroon and Gold have taken the point in 12 of the last 14 contests.
Best to Ever Do It
Senior
Greta Lazzarotto supplanted herself atop the MSU Texas career wins chart on April 14 against Texas A&M-Kingsville, passing Lacey Wuthrich (2002-05) with win No. 139. Lazzarotto bested Phoephathep Philavong, 6-1, 6-3, in singles to break the record.
The Italian passed Brooke Gray (2000-03) for the most career doubles wins on March 30 against Arkansas-Fort Smith. Partnered with freshman
Casie Curry, the tandem closed out a tiebreaker against the Lions to lock up the historic win.
Lazzarotto ranks fourth all-time with 59 career singles wins and is eight away from breaking Wuthrich's program-record of 64.
Duff Wins No. 100
Junior
Bianca Duff collected her 100th career victory in a three-set thriller with Lisa Carvajal at the No. 1 line on April 14. Duff became the 12th member of the 100-win club, joining teammate
Greta Lazzarotto.
The Geelong, Australia, native sits at No. 10 with 110 combined wins while ranking in the top-15 in both singles (14
th) and doubles (8
