WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State Tennis was well represented in the final 2019 Oracle ITA NCAA Division II Rankings that were announced on Wednesday.
On the Men's side,
Angel Palacios, No. 5 singles and
Alex Martinez Roca, No. 43 singles, cracked the top 50. Palacios went 12-4 during the fall, and received an at-large bid to the ITA Cup. The senior also won the MSU Invitational and finished in second place at the ITA South Central Regionals.
Martinez Roca compiled an 8-3 mark during the fall. The junior won at least two matches at the Tyler Invite, the MSU Invitational, and the ITA South Central Regionals.
For the Women, sophomore
Casie Curry checked in at No. 43 in singles after a fall season that saw the reigning Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year post a 7-1 record. Curry went a perfect 3-0 to claim the flight four singles title at the MSU Invitational, then advanced to the flight one semifinals at the ITA South Central Regionals.
