ON THE COURT
- Midwestern State opens the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament with a quarterfinal matchup against Eastern New Mexico. Tipoff from the Allen Event Center is set for Wednesday at noon.
- The winner moves on to face winner of the Thursday's quarterfinal matchup between Cameron and Texas A&M-Commerce in the Friday's first semifinal also set for noon.
- The LSC Postseason Tournament championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE ZIAS
- Eastern New Mexico has dropped its last three games and five of its last six heading into tournament play.
- Junior guard Sarah Stinnett leads the Zias and ranks fourth in the Lone Star Conference in scoring with 14.1 points per game. She is averaging 20.7 points per game over her last seven contests while shooting 44.1 percent (56-of-127) from the field including a season high of 37 against Angelo State.
- Stinnett has scored 10-or-more points in 19 games and 20-or-more on five occasions.
- Stinnett is third in the LSC during league play averaging 16.2 points per game.
- Senior guard Tori Tucker rates fifth in the LSC in scoring with 13.4 points per game. She is averaging 22.3 points a game over her last four contests while shooting 45.8 percent (27-of-59) from the field, 42.9 percent (12-of-28) from 3-point range and 92 percent (23-of-25) from the charity stripe while pulling down 7.3 rebounds a contest.
- Tucker has scored 10-or-more points in 17 games and 20-or-more on five occasions inlcuding a season-high 32 against Texas A&M-Commerce.
- Junior guard Jordyn Cooper knocked down 5-of-7 triples to score 15 points the last time out against West Texas A&M.
- Josh Prock has posted a 14-37 record (.275) in his second season at the helm of the Eastern New Mexico women's basketball program. He posted an impressive 109-35 record (.757) in five seasons at Howard Payne (Texas) prior to making the jump to Portales.

ABOUT THE SERIES
- Midwestern State and Eastern New Mexico meet for the 43rd time on the hardwood Wednesday afternoon at the Allen Event Center.
- The Mustangs own a 25-17 edge in the series which dates back to the 1985-86 season.
- MSU has won the last six meetings between the teams and 10 of the last 11 dating back to the 2010-11 season.
- Eastern New Mexico's lone win during the run came by a 70-62 count on Dec. 31, 2012 in Portales.
- Midwestern State won the other two meetings between the programs during postseason tournament play claiming a 62-51 win on Feb. 24, 1998 in Wichita Falls and an 85-70 win on March 6, 2013 in Allen.

LAST TIME OUT VS. EASTERN NEW MEXICO
- Midwestern State scored its largest win in a Lone Star Conference game in program history rolling to a 94-46 win over Eastern New Mexico on Feb. 14 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The win completed a season sweep over the Zias paired with a 72-46 victory on Jan. 11 in Portales.
- The Mustangs have outscored ENMU by 74 points this season.
- Senior forward Andrea Carter led a trio of MSU players in double figures with 17 points and nine rebounds, while senior forward Taylor Dowd splashed in a career-high 16 points off of the bench.
- Senior guard Dianna Jones knocked down four 3-pointers to finish with 14 points.
- All 14 of MSU players scored at least three points in the game.
- Jasmine Johnson scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Eastern New Mexico, while Sarah Stinnett pitched in 12.
- Midwestern limited ENMU to a 29.7 percent shooting night while the Zias were 1-of-11 fro the arc.

MUSTANGS NOTEBOOK
- Midwestern State clinched the No. 2 seed in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament with an 83-71 win over Cameron Sunday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The Mustangs take on 7th-seeded Eastern New Mexico Wednesday at the Allen Event Center with a noon tipoff time.
- MSU improved to 21-0 in games in which it scores more than 60 points.
- Sixteen of Midwestern's 21 wins this season have been by at least 10 points.
- Senior forward Shambreka Jones (Mesquite, Texas / Poteet HS (Charleston Southern)) notched her second double-double of the season notching career highs with 18 points and 18 rebounds against Cameron.
- Jones swatted at least four shots for the fifth time this season to move past Jel-Ani Armstrong (75 blocks/2002-04) into fourth on MSU's all-time blocked shots list with 78.
- Jones became just the second player in MSU program history to swat 50 shots in a season and needs five more to match Rulinda Vogtsberger's total of 56 set during the 1979-80 season.
- Senior forward Andrea Carter (Angleton, Texas / Angleton HS) splashed in a season-high 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds Sunday against Cameron.
- Carter became the second player in program history to amass 1,000 career rebounds and is 11 behind all-time leader Alice Edwards, who grabbed 1,014 from 1981-85.
- Carter's 1,433 points are 19 shy of former MSU great Lindy Lombard, who stands fifth with 1,452 from 1998-02.
- Senior guard Lisa Hampton (Kennedale, Texas / Nolan Catholic HS) drilled four 3-pointers to finish with 16 points Sunday against Cameron and now stands second on MSU's all-time single season list with 66 and needs eight more to match Lynn Buckmaster, who had 74 made triples in 1993-94.
- Hampton tops MSU's all-time 3-point makes list with 149.
- Senior guard Shatoia Gober (Waco, Texas / Midway HS) matched a career high with nine assists originally set on March 1, 2014 -- exactly a year earlier -- at Cameron.
- Senior guard Dianna Jones (Hewitt, Texas / Midway HS) finished with nine points, six assists and five rebounds Sunday against Cameron.
- Jones notched her 100th assist of the season which marked the second consecutive season she passed the century mark in helpers.

THE JOHNSON ERA
- Noel Johnson is in her seventh season at the helm of the Midwestern State basketball program.
- Johnson boasts a 111-82 record (.575) while leading the Mustangs to the NCAA Division II postseason in each of the last two seasons including a trip to the South Central Region finals in 2013.
- Johnson reached milestone victory No. 100 with a 61-47 win over Texas Woman's University on Jan. 1, 2015 in Denton.
- Midwestern claimed its first NCAA postseason tournament wins taking down Tarleton State and Metro State (Colo.) in 2013 before falling to No. 4 Colorado Mesa in the regional final.
- Johnson led the Mustangs to its first Lone Star Conference championship in 12 seasons claiming the 2012-13 title.
- Johnson garnered Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 before earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' Small College Coach of the Year accolades in 2013.

- Midwestern State is making its fourth consecutive appearance in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament.
- The Mustangs are 11-5 all time in tournament play claiming titles in 2001 and 2013.
