ABOUT THE RAMS
- Texas Wesleyan is coming off of a big win over Division I Incarnate Word by a 74-66 margin Friday night in San Antonio.
- The victory extended the Rams' regular season win streak to four games if an 86-40 exhibition loss to TCU is excluded.
- Texas Wesleyan is outscoring the opposition by 20 points per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the field.
- The Rams control a +10.5 rebound margin while dishing out assists on 19.8 of their 28.7 made field goals per game.
- Senior guard Stacey Darnley poured in a season-high 24 points against Incarnate Word to up her scoring average to 13 points per game. She has scored in double figures in four of Texas Wesleyan's six games this season.
- Junior guard Onyesonam Nolisa, a transfer from Hofstra, notched her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds against Incarnate Word. She is averaging a double-double with 12.7 points and 12.2 rebounds a game.

- Midwestern State meets Texas Wesleyan for the 46th time on the hardwood Tuesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The Mustangs own a 26-19 edge in the series which dates back to the 1976-77 season.
- This is the first meeting between the programs since the Rams swept a season series in 1999-2000 -- 69-58 in Fort Worth and 63-56 in Wichita Falls.

- Midwestern State split a pair of games at the season opening Ashbrook Classic claiming a 77-62 win over Adams State before falling to No. 7-ranked Emporia State, 62-51.
- Senior forward
Andrea Carter (Angleton, Texas / Angleton HS) completed her 30th career double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in Friday night's season opener against Adams State. It was the third straight year
Carter led off the season with a double-double as she went for 20 points and 20 rebounds against McMurry in 2012 and 19 points and 12 rebounds against Colorado State-Pueblo in 2013.

Carter became the 13th player in MSU history to eclipse the 1,100-point barrier and needs 77 points to move past Michelle Mims (1177 points from 1985-89) into 11th.

Carter moved past Denise Pittman (772 rebounds from 1994-98) into fourth place on the all-time rebounding list and with 776 needs 64 to eclipse Lounette Adkins (839 rebounds from 1978-79, 80-81, 93-95).

Shatoia Gober (Waco, Texas / Midway HS) matched a career high with 18 points against Adams State. She is shooting 60 percent from the field through the first two games of the season (9-for-15).

Dianna Jones (Hewitt, Texas / Midway HS) vaulted past Stacey Staten (263 assists from 2004-08) into ninth place with 265. She needs 39 to pass J.J. Anderson (303 from 1997-01).

Jones battled her way to 12 points and seven rebounds to pace the Mustangs against Emporia State.

Lisa Hampton (Kennedale, Texas / Nolan Catholic HS) knocked down four triples during the Ashbrook Classic and now has 87 career 3-pointers -- good for 13th on MSU's all-time list. She needs two to pass Angie Faurot (88 from 2004-06) into 12th.

THE JOHNSON ERA

Noel Johnson is in her seventh season at the helm of the Midwestern State basketball program.
- Johnson boasts a 91-78 record (.538) while leading the Mustangs to the NCAA Division II postseason in each of the last two seasons including a trip to the South Central Region finals in 2013.
- Midwestern claimed its first NCAA wins taking down Tarleton State and Metro State (Colo.) in 2013 before falling to No. 4 Colorado Mesa in the regional final.
- Johnson led the Mustangs to its first Lone Star Conference championship in 12 seasons claiming the 2012-13 title.
- Johnson garnered Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 before earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' Small College Coach of the Year accolades in 2013.
