WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Alyson Reynolds' two-run, pinch-hit home run lifted Midwestern State to a 4-2 win over Central Oklahoma in Game 1 Saturday afternoon at Mustangs Park.

Reynolds, who has just two pinch-hit appearances since suffering an injury in Florida, drilled her first collegiate homer on Central Oklahoma ace Alli Blake's 3-2 offering over the left-field fence to plate Becca Wessels as the Mustangs reassumed a two-run lead.

Sophomore Katie Petersen (13-2) extended her personal winning streak to 13-straight decisions by allowing two runs on five hits while striking out three in her eighth complete game of the season.

Midwestern State senior Ashley Kuchenski gave the Mustangs the early 2-0 lead when she lined a two-run double over UCO center fielder Meagan Campbell's head to scored Amanda Potysman and Kristen Stonecipher, who had reached on singles.

But the Bronchos scratched for a pair of runs in the sixth when Emilee Bounds drove in two runs on a single to left field.

Seven MSU players accounted for a hit each, while Alley Roberts went 2-for-3 to lead a five-hit Broncho attack.

Blake (2-3) surrendered four runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out none.
