LUBBOCK, Texas — Midwestern State dropped both games of a doubleheader against Lubbock Christian, falling 4–2 and 5–2 on Saturday at Maner Park.
**Game 1**
Midwestern State initially took a 2–0 lead in the first inning, with
Erikha Ibarra-Subia walking and stealing second, later scoring on
Tatum Waller's RBI single.
Chipper Mayorga followed with an infield single, and
Marisela Landa hit a ground-rule double to deep right, bringing in Waller and advancing Mayorga to third. However, Lubbock Christian mounted a comeback with a decisive four-run fourth inning, capitalizing on errors and timely hits. Madison Hunter's single and Kadin Vire's hit put runners on the corners, leading to Ashlinn Hamilton's RBI single.
