Four goals in two games leads to Plaxco's third LSC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Senior forward Parker Plaxco has been named the LSC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. Plaxco scored twice in a 4-1 over Dallas Baptist at Stang Park on Wednesday night. He also scored two goals at UT Dallas as No. 2-ranked Midwestern State overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Comets, who had not lost at home since 2023.

Plaxco has scored 12 goals this season, which leads the Lone Star Conference and is fifth most in NCAA Division II this season. No one in NCAA Division II has more game-winning goals than Plaxco, who scored his fourth game-winner in the 55th minute of a 2-1 victory at UTD on Saturday night.

The senior from Stephenville, Texas, has four multi-goal games this season, including a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Texas A&M International last month.

Plaxco was the second most prolific goal scorer in the league last season with 13, and he led the conference with 31 points. He is leading the LSC this season with 24 points.

Plaxco is tied with Ahmad Ihmeidan and Len Smith for fifth-most career game-winning goals at Midwestern State with nine, including the game-winning goal in the waning seconds of overtime to break a scoreless tie with Seattle Pacific in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

Plaxco and the Mustangs return to action on Saturday night as they visit West Texas A&M at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
