DENTON, Texas - Midwestern State is tangling with Dallas Baptist at Kitty Magee Arena on the Texas Woman's campus Thursday night at 8 p.m. The men's game will follow the women's game against TWU, which tips off at 6 p.m.
Midwestern State (5-10, 3-5) used a 7-0 run over the final 55 seconds to defeat West Texas A&M on Saturday and end a seven-game losing streak.
Orlando Horton, Jr. hit two free throws at the end of the game to secure the victory in a game that featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes. Â
Midwestern State is scoring 76.1 points per game and shooting 44 percent from the field, but opponents are scoring 80.3 points per game and shooting 45.3 percent from the field.Â
The Mustangs feature a balanced scoring attack with four players averaging more than 10 points per game.
Jonathan Jackson is scoring 10.9 points per is third in the conference with 2.7 3-pointers per game and is shooting a league-leading 44 percent from beyond the arc.

Dallas Baptist had an 11-game winning streak snapped last week with a 66-64 setback at St. Mary's, but the Patriots rebounded to defeat No. 18 St. Edward's 75-68 in Austin on Saturday.Â
Sophomore Bishop Jones leads DBU with 13.4 points per game and is shooting 56.8 percent from the field. Senior Drew Calderon is pouring in 11.1 points per contest, shooting 39.8 percent from beyond the arc, which is third-best in the LSC. Junior Trevor Frank is totaling 10.9 points per outing for the Patriots, who are the second-highest scoring team in the conference with 82.6 points per game and hold opponents to 68.5 points per game, the fourth best scoring defense in the league.
Xavion Brown leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game, and he averages 2.5 steals for DBU, which leads the nation with 13.6 steals per game. Frank is averaging 2.4 steals, while T.J. Thomas and Cody Stevens both average more than 1.5 steals per game.
The Patriots force the second-most turnovers in NCAA Division II with 22.5 takeaways per game and boast the fourth-best turnover margin in the nation at plus-7.8.
