TYLER, Texas -- Camila Garcia,
Emilia Gyorgy and
Selin Sepken all advanced to the singles Round of 16 at the ITA DII Women's South Central Regional Championships.
Sepken, the No. 10 seed in the 64-player draw, dispatched Anna Deuringer of Cameron in the first round, 6-2, 6-1, and then breezed pas Sophia Rashid of UT Permian Basin in the second round, 6-1, 6-0.
Sepken faces Anastasia Melnikova of Angelo State for a berth in the quarterfinals on Friday morning at 8 a.m.
Emilia Gyorgy is in the same half of the draw as Sepken, and she cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Isabella Quintero of Cameron in the first round before dismantling 11th-seeded Suryanshi Suryanshi of St. Mary's in the second round, 6-1, 6-0.
Gyorgy now meets sixth-seeded Guadalupe Tocci of Texas A&M-Kingsville in the third round. First serve is Friday morning at 8 a.m.

Camila Garcia Morales could face top-seeded Yona Barcel in the quarterfinals but must first get by Namrata Makhija of UT Dallas in the third round on Friday morning.
Garcia played a pair of match tiebreaks on Thursday. She defeated Hannah Nagpall of Texas A&M-Kingsville, 6-2, 5-7, 10-4, before eliminating Gia Posito of St. Mary's 3-6, 7-5, 10-0.

Maya Donkor of Texas A&M-Kingsville was able to get past
Sierra Rodgers in the first round, 6-4, 6-1.
No. 9-seed Karol Alessia Terlizzi of St. Mary's advanced with a 6-2, 6-3 first-round victory over
Jasmine Crain.
Alessia Dolce was eliminated by the No. 4 seed Natalia Gorzny of UT Tyler in the opening round, 6-4, 6-3.
All three doubles teams from Midwestern State advanced to the quarterfinals.
Garcia and Gyorgy, the No. 4-seeded pairing, eliminated Aitana Moreno Villa and Alexandra Luders in the first round, winning the pro-set, 8-5. Garcia and Gyorgy then defeated Emily Ryan and Sabrina Pugh from UT Tyler, 8-3.
Friday afternoon, Garcia and Gyorgy face the seventh-seeded duo from TAMUK, Donkor and Lilly-Isabelle Muraske.
Berend and Sepken are the No. 5-seed in the 32-team draw and advanced with an 8-2 win over Claudia Di Leonardo and Hailey Zhang of UT Tyler before ousting Kaitlin Blount and Tocci of TAMUK, 8-3. Berend and Sepken face the Angelo State duo of Sasa Felixova and Margaux Rene in the quarterfinals on Friday.
Dolce and Crain reached the second round with an 8-3 win over Nagpall and Emma Halvarsson of TAMUK. Crain and Dolce pulled out an 8-6 win over Katherine Robinson and Namrata Makhija of UT Dallas to reach the quarterfinals, where they will meet Posito and Terlizzi of St. Mary's on Friday.
