Mustangs enter NABC D2 Rankings at No. 25

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State closed out the regular season winning 11 of its final 13 games and is getting national recognition as it prepares for the 2025 Lone Star Conference Men's Basketball Championship. The Mustangs are ranked No. 25 in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll.

Midwestern State finished the regular season with a 22-6 overall record and earned the No.3 seed for the LSC postseason tournament, which tips off at noon on Friday as the Mustangs tangle with sixth-seeded West Texas A&M.

Dallas Baptist is the highest-ranked school in the LSC at No. 7, while Lubbock Christian is ranked No. 22.

Midwestern State is one of four schools in the South Central Region in the top 25. Colorado School of Mines from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is ranked No. 9.

The No. 1 team in the nation is Daeman (N.Y.) after completing the regular season with a 25-0 record and is playing in the East Coast Conference Championships semifinals on Saturday.
