WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State Women's Tennis moved up one spot to No. 4 in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Tuesday.

The Mustangs are 6-1 this season with its only loss coming to No. 1-ranked Barry in the final of the ITA National Team Indoor Tennis Championship in Indianapolis this past weekend.

The Mustangs posted victories over No. 7-ranked Lynn (Fla.) and No. 5 North Georgia on their way to the final.

Midwestern State has wins over three ranked opponents this season, including a 4-3 victory over No. 10-ranked Washburn in Topeka, Kansas, on Feb. 8.

No. 6-ranked senior Jessica Binzari is 4-1 in singles to start the season, and she has teamed up with senior Anda Ghinga to go 5-0 in doubles. Ghinga boasts a 5-1 record in singles for the Mustangs with all five victories coming in straight sets.

Three more ranked opponents are lined up to play MSU at the UT Tyler Invitational this week. The Mustangs face No. 9 Auburn Montgomery on Friday before meeting No. 25-ranked West Florida on Saturday. On Sunday, MSU battles No. 12-ranked West Alabama.

The Stangs host No. 20 Northwest Missouri State in the home opener on March 7.
