CONROE, Texas --The Midwestern State Mustangs took a 3-1 lead in the second inning and never trailed from there on the way to a 5-4 win against the Regis Rangers on Saturday.
Sophomore Addison Lindemann (1-1) started in the circle and picked up the win for Midwestern State (1-2). The right-hander went six innings, giving up four runs, all of them earned, on seven hits, allowing four walks and striking out two.
In the batter's box, the Mustangs were paced by junior Tatum Waller, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a double, a walk and two RBI. Senior Camile Nunez put together a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Freshman Jaycee Yezak also contributed for Midwestern State, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a double and an RBI.
