WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Michael Meachum earned Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year.
Liam Pritchard was selected as LSC Midfielder of the Year, and
Alan Rivera is the LSC Newcomer of the Year. Six Mustangs were selected the All-LSC first team, while two players received second-team honors, and MSU has two players on the All-Freshman team.
The awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.
Meachum led eighth-ranked Midwestern State to the LSC regular season title with an 8-2-0 conference record, and the Mustangs were 12-3-3 overall during the regular season.
It is the fourth regular season conference title in Meachum's eight seasons at the helm, and the Mustangs are seeking a fifth consecutive conference tournament title. It would be the sixth time in seven seasons that MSU received the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
Meachum was also named LSC Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2023. He was the Heartland Conference Coach of the Year in 2018.
Meachum has a career record of 115-25-15 (.790), and the Mustangs are 47-7-7 (.828) over the past three seasons.
Pritchard is in his fourth season with the Mustangs and has two goals with four assists in 19 games this season, the senior from England has made 16 starts this year, and he scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory at Lubbock Christian.
Rivera, a junior from Round Rock, Texas, matriculated at Dallas College-Richland and has made 15 appearances with 13 starts for MSU. Rivera scored four goals in a span of four games, including a two-goal performance in a 5-1 victory at Texas A&M International. Rivera had a goal and an assist in the Mustangs' 3-0 victory at Dallas Baptist. Rivera has five goals and two assists in 966 minutes this season.

Davis Mays,
Cooper Tea and
Jaime Villagomez joined Pritchard and Rivera on the All-LSC First Team.
Plaxco is a two-time LSC Offensive Player of the Week honoree this season and is second in the conference with 11 goals and 26 points in 17 starts for the Mustangs.
Plaxco is also on the LSC All-Academic Team. The junior from Stephenville, Texas, is majoring in Sport, Coaching, Leadership and Administration. It is the first time Plaxco has made the All-Academic Team, and he Is the first Mustang to receive the distinction since 2023.
Mays is a fifth-year senior from Wichita Falls who returned home after starting his collegiate career at UT Tyler. Mays was the LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 13 after the Mustangs shut out UT Tyler and Oklahoma Christian in back-to-back games. Mays scored the first goal of the season for MSU in a 1-1 draw at Colorado Mesa. Mays has played the full 90 minutes in 10 matches this season and logged 1,429 minutes for MSU in the regular season.
Tea has started all 18 games for the Mustangs this season, and the sophomore midfielder has scored four goals, including the game-winner in a 2-0 triumph over West Texas A&M. Tea completed a comeback against Newman in the home opener. MSU fell behind 3-0, but Tea scored the equalizer in the 85th minute for the Mustangs. He scored early in a 2-1 loss to St. Edward's and scored the third goal in a 3-0 win at Dallas Baptist.
Villagomez was the LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22 and finished the regular season with two goals and four assists. The senior from El Paso has seen increased playing time since playing 80 minutes in a 2-0 win over UT Tyler. Villagomez played the full 90 minutes in three of the final four games and saw 88 minutes off action in the 2-0 win at Lubbock Christian on Oct. 29.
Liam Kervick and
Ethan Krchnak were both selected to the All-LSC second team.
Kervick, who was on the All-Freshman Team last season, scored four goals in 13 games and made eight starts for the Mustangs. The junior midfielder from Ireland scored game-winning goals against UT Tyler and Dallas Baptist.
Krchnak was LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3 and finished the regular season with two goals and four assists. The sophomore from Pearland, Texas, had a goal and an assist in two games this season. He started 16 of the 18 matches in which he appeared and averaged nearly 65.5 minutes per game for the Mustangs.
Cristopher Guevara and
Tanner Tea are members of the LSC All-Freshman Team.
Guevara, who is from Houston, made 18 appearances and started 10 games for the Mustangs. Guevara assisted on the first of four Plaxco goals in the 4-2 win over Northwest Nazarene, and he averaged nearly 53 per appearance during the regular season.
Tea is the twin brother of Cooper, and the defender from Rowlett, Texas, appeared in 11 matches, playing more than 50 minutes in a 2-0 win over West Texas A&M and 5-1 victory at Texas A&M International. Midwestern State had six shutouts in the games he played and outscored opponents, 23-9. He assisted on Pritchard's goal in the 33rd minute of a 2-0 win at Lubbock Christian.
Midwestern State is hosting a semifinal match in the LSC Men's Soccer Championship on Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. The top-seeded Mustangs are hosting UT Tyler, who advanced with a 1-0 victory at Dallas Baptist in the quarterfinals on Saturday night.
