The victory extended Midwestern State's impressive three-game winning streak and continued their dominance at home, where they boast a perfect 4-0-0 record this season. This win also contributes to their remarkable 16-game home unbeaten streak.
The match between the Mustangs and the Buffaloes opened with both teams struggling to find their rhythm amidst a series of fouls and offside calls. MSU gained momentum with a corner kick in the 12th minute, followed by a shot from
Averi Culver that went out at the top right. The home team, which has scored exactly two goals in nine of their ten matches this season, continued to apply pressure with
Nyxalee Munoz forcing a save from Franciezca Blancaflor in the 19th minute.
