Men's Soccer surges to No. 9 in latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State moved up to No. 9 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll released on Tuesday.

The Mustangs, who are 7-2-3 overall with a 3-1-0 conference record, were ranked No. 22 last week but posted back-to-back 2-0 wins over UT Tyler and Oklahoma Christian to move up 13 spots in the latest poll.

Midwestern State, which is the only team from the Lone Star Conference in the rankings this week, was No. 10 in the preseason poll and fell to No. 24 after a 1-0-1 start. Following a 1-0 loss to Northeastern State, MSU dropped out of the poll completely. Midwestern State reappeared in the Week 4 poll at No. 18 on Sept. 30.

Midwestern State visits Dallas Baptist on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and hosts UT Dallas on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
