PUEBLO, Colorado – Midwestern State is tied with Lone Star Conference counterpart St. Mary's for 10th place after 18 holes at the 2025 NCAA DII Regional Preview at Pueblo Country Club.
The Mustangs had eight birdies on their way to a 29-over 313 first round on Monday afternoon.
Dallas Baptist is atop the leaderboard at 5-over 289, and Colorado State-Pueblo, the host school sits second at 16-over 300 following the first round. Cal State San Marcos is alone in third place at 20-over 304.
Midwestern State is only four strokes behind Cal State Los Angeles and Western Washington in fourth place at 25-over 309.
Alli Reily had four birdies on the front nine at Pueblo Country Club and shot a team-best 5-over 76, which is good for 18th place through the first 18 holes.
Romane LaCoste and
Kodi Nolen, who is competing as an individual, both finished tied for 27th at 6-over 77.
Emme Darnold strung together five-consecutive pars near the end of her first round and finished 7-over 78 in 36th place for the Mustangs.
Madison Wert is 11-over in 78th place, and
Mary Kerr is 14-over in 98th place entering the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
The individual leader is Neige Dunn of MSU-Denver, who is the only player in red numbers at 2-under 69. Avery Foster of CSUSM and Ella Cheek of DBU are sitting tied for second at even-par 71.
The second and final round of the tournament tees off at 10:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday morning.
