WICHITA FALLS, Texas --Midwestern State continued its dominance with its 10th consecutive win Thursday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum by routing Western New Mexico, 82-53.
The Mustangs (10-3, 5-2 in LSC play) are off to their best start since rolling out to a 12-1 mark in 2015-16.
Senior forward Will Shepherd led a trio of Mustangs in double figures by scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Junior Mason Gibson chipped in 11 points in 19 minutes of court time, while senior Reggie Hill registered his third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Mustangs (10-3, 5-2) had three players score in double figures, led by Will Shepherd, who had 14 points and two steals. Mason Gibson added 11 points and Reggie Hill helped out with a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
MSU's margin of victory was the largest against a league opponent since the Mustangs rolled to a 93-54 win over LSC postseason tournament winner Eastern New Mexico last season in Wichita Falls.

Midwestern State's Jordan Reed scored seven of his eight points in the final minute-and-a-half of the first half as part of the Mustangs 10-0 run to close the half to extend the advantage to 36-22 at the break.
The junior from Aurora, Colorado, followed a Reggie Hill 3-pointer with a pair of layups in transition, before closing the half with a 3-pointer from the left wing.
MSU broke open the game at the start of the second half with a back-to-back triples by Noah McDavid and Jonathan Jackson before Mason Gibson converted a traditional three-point play to propel the Mustangs to a 45-22 edge just over two minutes into the stanza.
