Game 1: Cameron 3, Midwestern State 0

Cameron (0-4) went the distance in the circle, allowing three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and four walks, but the Aggies' starting pitcher, Jocelyn Bright (3-2), retired the first 17 Mustangs she faced before Grace Martinez delivered a base hit up the middle with two outs in the sixth inning.

Camile Nunez also came through with a single in the sixth, but Allie Monroe grounded out to end the inning.

Maegan Shannon singled in the seventh, but MSU was unable to push across a run against Bright, who recorded five strikeouts without a walk. The senior from Burkburnett, Texas, threw 64 of 80 pitches for strikes.

The Aggies took a 1-0 lead, when Kaiden Boren homered to left field in the first inning. Madysen Boutwell added a solo shot to left in the fourth inning. Boren drew a lead-off walk in the sixth inning and came into score the final run of the game on Makena Riggs' ground out.

Game 2: Cameron 5, Midwestern State 4 (8)

Freshman hurler Addison Lindemann made her fifth start of the season and her first at Mustangs Park in the nightcap.

Cameron shortstop Taylor Rowley led off the third inning with a single to center, and Boren doubled down the left field line, putting runners at second and third with one out for the Aggies. Kelsey Creech hit her second home run of the season — a three-run blast to right field —and Cameron took a 3-0 lead.

Lindemann allowed three runs on five hits with three strike outs in three innings of work for the Mustangs.

Zoe Isom came on in relief, and Chloe Middleton led off the fourth inning with a base hit for the Aggies. Middleton scored on a bases loaded walk, but Isom struck out five of the next nine batters she faced after giving up the lead-off single. The junior from Midlothian, Texas, struck out the side in the fifth inning.

Isom kept the Mustangs in the game, and the offense rallied against the Aggies' starting pitcher Stormee Reed.

Brianna Dominguez singled, and Nunez doubled in the bottom of the third inning. Freshman right fielder Paige Gallegos hit a ground ball to third base, and a throwing error by Riggs allowed both runners to score.

Gallegos was hit by a pitch in the fifth, and Monroe tripled down the right field line to score the tying run, driving in her 15th run of the season.

Cameron drew four walks in the eighth inning and scored the winning run when Boren drew a base on balls with the bases loaded.

Lindemann singled with one out in the eighth inning but was left stranded as Reed went the distance for the Aggies.
