WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State erupted for 14-1 run late in the second half, then held off St. Edward's, 63-62, for its fourth-straight win Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Jonathan Jackson buried three triples and led a trio of Mustangs in double figures with 13 points. Fellow senior
Pierre Sanders pitched in 12 points and six assists, while
Will Shepherd helped out with 11 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Midwestern State shared the ball well in Saturday's game, racking up 17 assists on 23 made field goals. Sanders' six assists led the Mustangs and Mason Gibson also added four assists of his own.
Midwestern State's defense held St. Edward's to only 35.8 percent shooting from the field, including 24.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Midwestern State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 31-25 heading into halftime.
Saint Edward's kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 37-28 advantage before Midwestern State went on a 9-0 run, finished off by Matija Svetozarevic's three, to even the score at 37 all with 15:47 to go in the contest. The Mustangs kept the rally going and took the lead for good on Gavino Ramos' free throw with 00:06 left to grab the 63-62 victory. Midwestern State shot well from 3-point range in the half, hitting seven shots from deep to score 21 of its 38 points.
The Mustangs enjoy an 11-day Thanksgiving break before returning to action against No. 8-ranked Dallas Baptist on Wednesday, December 4. Tipoff at the Burg Center is set for 7 p.m.
