WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Oklahoma Baptist's Sydney Adler drew a bases loaded walk in the 10th inning to lift the Bison to a 4-3 win over Midwestern State Saturday night at Mustangs Park.
HOW IT HAPPENED >>>
Midwestern State rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the second inning to force Oklahoma Baptist in the extra innings.
Once again, the Mustangs were led by a pair of freshman as
Kayla Bryant lined a two-out, two-run single to left field to put MSU on the board in the second frame.
An inning later, it was frosh
Megan Ayala who ripped a single through the leftside of the infield to plate
Chloe Bryant to knot the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the third.
Oklahoma Baptist took advantage of a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt to score three runs with a three-hit rally in the top of the second.
OBU's Reagan Ford grounded a two-run single up the midlle to plate two run, then came into score when she was obstructed on the way to the plate when Sammie Greene reached on a bunt single.
Neither team scored over the next seven innings before international tiebreaker rule took effect in the 10th inning.
Once again, an MSU fielding error factored in on the deciding run.Â
OBU senior Adi Reese reached on a muffed throw at first base on a successful sacrifice bunt setting the Bison up with runners on the corners with no outs.
Addy Ryan and Sydney Adler drew consecutive walks to force in the winning run.

Kayla Bryant paced Midwestern State's eight-hit attack by going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. The leadoff hitter recorded her third multi-hit game to maintain her team-best .500 batting average.

Paige Bryant went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.

Levi Luna pitched 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief allowing three hits and recording two strikeouts.

- OBU's Kayleighh Jones earned the relief win to improve to 6-0 in the circle. The senior right-hander recorded 10 strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings of hitless relief.
- OBU starter Aspen Younce permitted three earned runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. The senior from Pleasant Hill, Mo. recorded a career-high 14 strikeouts.

- Midwestern State pitchers recorded seven consecutive scoreless innings, but couldn't end the run of 104 games since the Mustangs' last shutout.Â
- Midwestern State did not allow an earned run in 10 innings Saturday against Oklahoma Baptist, lowering its team ERA to 4.60.
- Midwestern State endured a program record 24 strikeouts against Oklahoma Baptist upping the previous high of 17 set last season against Texas A&M-Commerce.
- Midwestern State played at least 10 innings for the 12th time in program history and first time since falling 2-1 against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 24, 2018. The Mustangs played 11 innings on three occasions including against St. Edward's in 2004, Incarnate Word in 2006, and Northeastern State in 2007.
