Midwestern State competes in the Lone Star Conference Championship Saturday morning at the Eastern New Mexico Cross Country Course in Portales. The 6K race begins at 10:30 a.m. The top 15 finishers at the LSC Championship earn all-conference honors, while the top finishing freshman and newcomer also earn accolades. Midwestern State boasts 21 all-LSC performers since bringing back cross country in 2006. Sophomore Ella Pando was first to finish for MSU in three of her four meets this season, while crossing the line in tandem with three other Mustangs in the other meet. She is coming off of a 23rd-place showing in the DBU Old Glory Gallop, covering the 5K course in 18:31.60.
