WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Senior Aaliyah Prince poured in a game-high 28 points to lead Arkansas-Fort Smith to a 68-65 win over Midwestern State Thursday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Arkansas-Fort Smith converted four of its five traditional three-point play opportunities to control a 34-28 edge in points in the paint.
The Lions extended their lead to 11 points in the second period and never trailed.
Midwestern State edged to as close as two points on three occasions in the fourth period, and had a shot to tie the game in the closing seconds. But
Natalie Stice's long 3-pointer from between the circles was off the mark.

Dyamon Griggs logged her fifth double-double of the season finishing with 13 points and a season-high 14 rebounds with 12 coming in the first half.

- UAFS graduate transfer Aaliyah Prince fell two points shy of a season high finishing with 28 points. The New Mexico State transfer scored 30 points earlier this season against Texas Woman's.

- Midwestern State dropped its third straight game to fall to 4-14 on the season and 2-10 in Lone Star Conference play. The Mustangs are 3-6 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum this season.
- UAFS won its second consecutive road game after starting the season with eight straight losses away from its home floor at Stubblefield Center.
- The Mustangs fell to 2-8 in games they fell to win the rebounding battle. UAFS controlled the boards, 45-37.
