LAREDO, Texas -- Hannah Reynolds claimed a program record ten blocks in Midwestern State's 79-53 loss to Texas A&M International on Saturday. The Mustangs also broke the single-game record with 14 blocks in the Lone Star Conference match.
The Mustangs sit at 12-12 for the season and drop to 6-8 in LSC play after a slow-offensive second half.

"We had a couple of decent runs at it and did exactly what we talked about, MSU coach
Christopher Reay said. "It took us forever to finally read the game and react."
MSU had a rough start with three turnovers in under two minutes, leading to a 7-0 run for TAMIU over in the first three minutes of play.
Frances King helped the Mustangs bounce back with six straight points in two trips down the court. On the defensive end, Reynolds tallied three blocks in first five minutes of play and four in the first quarter.
Midwestern State went on 1-of-8 shooting spurt and concluded the quarter with 40 percent shooting.
MiLinda Arguellez collected a buzzer-beating layup to bring the Dustdevils ahead by two. The home side shot 50 percent from the field and from the line in the first ten minutes.
Texas A&M International collected six points to start the second quarter, with four coming off MSU turnovers. The Mustangs tallied 21 turnovers in the game to give Texas A&M International 28 points.
Evelyn Quiroz posted seven points in the second quarter to fuel TAMIU's lead to ten points at the 5:27 mark. The Dustdevils went 8-of-17 from the floor and 2-of-3 from behind the line.
The Mustangs took a 6-0 run over the final minute of play with back-to-back threes from
Morgan Lenahan. The visitors went into halftime down by 33-39.
Reynolds posted two jumpers to start the half and then the Mustangs entered a scoring drought for over six minutes of play with five turnovers in the stretch. MSU went 4-of-14 from the field and tallied just ten points.
This led to a 20-0 run by Texas A&M International for their largest lead of the game at 22 points. TAMIU shot 42 percent from the field and were 8-of-8 from the line. Brown and Quiroz led with eight points each.
Both teams struggled offensively in the final quarter with MSU shooting 33 percent from the field and the Dustdevils at 25 percent. Brown led Texas A&M International with 28 points and nine rebounds while Clara Fernandez had four steals and seven points. Quiroz went 5-of-8 from the field and shot 100 percent behind the arc and at the line.
Lenahan walked away with 19 points and two steals while King tallied 12 points and five assists for the Mustangs. Reynolds led the team with 56 percent shooting from the field.
"We need to regroup and come back to protect home court in these final two games," Reay said. "It will put us in the best position possible for the LSC Tournament."
Midwestern State return to D.L. Ligon Coliseum next week for their final games of the regular season. The Mustangs host Arkansas-Fort Smith on Thursday, Feb. 24 for the annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness game. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. MSU then takes on Oklahoma Christian on Senior Night on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
