WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- In their second straight Lone Star Conference home match, Midwestern State faces off against Eastern New Mexico. The conference battle takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. at Stang Park.

1 |Â The Mustangs have three players tied for top scorer in 2021 with two goals.
Cassidy Savoy notched a brace against Northwestern Oklahoma State (9/02) while
Jewel Lewis gained hers against Regis (9/12).
Randi Heaton collected goals in back-to-back games versus Regis and East Central (9/18). In the match facing the Tigers, Heaton claimed her game-winning goal with 18 seconds left to play. Overall, the senior has three shots and two on goal in 389 minutes. Savoy has landed six shots in 197 minutes with two going on target. Lewis has five shots with four on goal in 160 minutes on the field.
Katey Stice leads Eastern New Mexico on the scoreboard with three goals to her name. The midfielder had a brace against CSU Pueblo (9/02) and another goal against MSU Denver (9/19). Stice has six points on the season.

Lexi Beck serves as the Mustangs highest shooter for the current season. The freshman has 16 shots in 516 minutes on the pitch. Beck landed nine of her attempts on frame and also completed her first collegiate goal against Northwestern Oklahoma State (9/02). The 82nd minute penalty kick gained the midfielder two points on the season. Beck launched a season-high seven shots against East Central (9/25).
Stice is also the leading shooter for the Greyhounds. She's thrown 13 shots on the season for a .231 shooting percent. The senior notched six shots on goal for a .462 shots on goal percent.

Taylor Camp is solid in the net for Midwestern State for the last two seasons. This year, the senior ranks fifth in the Lone Star Conference with 579 minutes played and second with a 0.891 save percent - which ranks 30th in NCAA Division II. In all, Camp has 41 for third in the LSC and sit 24th in the nation. The keeper recorded a career-high ten stops against East Central (9/18) to help the Mustangs to a double overtime victory and notched nine in the next match against St. Edward's (9/25). Camp's saves per game averages out to 6.83 and leads the conference. Camp has two shutouts on the year and has faced 84 shots in six matches. Currently, she sits tenth on MSU's all-time record book for saves with 87 in her two years at Midwestern State. Camp's five career wins is 12th in the books while her three shutouts are tenth.
Whitney Dockweiler played in 90 for Eastern New Mexico's seven matches this season. The senior has eight goals against with a 1.14 GAA. She's recorded two wins and five losses with two shutouts for the Greyhounds. Dockweiler has a 0.822 save percent with 37 saves against 112 shots.
4 |Â One third of the way into the 2021 season, MSU has amounted eight goals (1.33 per game) versus the total 11 from 2020. Opponents have only five goals against the Mustangs to average 0.83 per game. In addition, Midwestern State has held the competition to 84 shots, an average of 14.0, while notching 99 themselves to average 16.5 themselves. The team also outshines on corner kicks by 35 to 20.
Eastern New Mexico has four goals and allowed eight by opponents. The Greyhounds average 0.57 goals per game and 8.9 shots while the adversaries have 1.14 goals and 16.0 shots. In total, ENM has 62 attempts on goal and the competition controls 112.

Hayden Zuniga and
Keyara Zuniga both transferred from Portales, N.M. In 2019, Hayden collected three goals on ten shots while Keyara had one goal on six shots. MSU Graduate Assistant Coach
Julia Tucker also played for the Greyhounds in 2018 and 2019. In total, Tucker collected three goals and two assists in 35 matches. Midwestern State Head Coach
Ryan Spence also spent a season as head coach for the Greyhounds, earning a 3-14-1 record.
HEAD COACH RYAN SPENCEÂ begins his fourth season as head coach at his alma mater. In the 2020 season, he led the Mustangs to the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament. As a player, Spence helped the Mustangs dominate in his four years on the field. He earned All-American from 2008-11 and helped the team reach the Final Four in 2010. His center back prowess assisted in gaining 35 shutouts in his tenure. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, he gained his masters from MSU in 2014-15. From there, Spence moved on as assistant coach at Texas A&M International in 2016 and head coach at Eastern New Mexico in 2017 before coming back to Midwestern State in 2018.

SERIES WITH THE GREYHOUNDS
The series between Midwestern State and Eastern New Mexico began back in 2003 and the Lone Star Conference match-up has spanned almost ten years. MSU holds the 15-9-3 advantage over ENM with a 7-5-1 record when playing at Stang Park. Since 2017, the Greyhounds have overcome the Mustangs, going 5-0-1 since Midwestern State last took home a win in 2016. The last two meetings have taken place in Portales, N.M., in 2019 and 2018. The two teams battled in Wichita Falls, Texas, twice in 2017 with Eastern New Mexico taking home 2-1 and 4-0 victories.
