WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Playing for Wichita Falls High School,
Marco Barron had a front row seat to the success of the Midwestern State men's soccer team. Now, Barron will get a chance to don the jersey of the program he grew up rooting for as the latest signee in coach Michael
Meachum's class.
"Marco is another local talent that we have really had the pleasure of getting to know since he moved back to Wichita Falls," said Meachum. "He is an extremely smart individual and it shows with his movement and leadership on the field. We are glad that he has decided to stay close to home and represent Wichita Falls and MSU Texas over the next four years."
Barron was a four-year letter winner at Wichita Falls High School and claimed District 4-5A MVP honors as a senior after scoring 11 goals and dishing out three assists. He also earned first team All-District accolades as a junior while leading the Coyotes to a District 4-5A Title and a spot in the Region I-5A Tournament.
He becomes the second Old High player to sign with the Mustangs, joining goalkeeper
Israel Gonzalez.
