Parker Plaxco has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team.
Plaxco, who transferred to Midwestern State from Oral Roberts, leads the Mustangs with 13 goals and 31 points.
The native of Stephenville, Texas, scored the first goal of the game in a 3-2 victory at Point Loma in the Super Region 4 Final. He scored the game-winning goal in the waning seconds of overtime against Seattle Pacific as the Mustangs won the second-round matchup at Stang Park, 1-0.
Plaxco has five game-winning goals this season, and he erupted for four goals in a 4-2 victory over Northwest Nazarene at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas, just before the start of the conference campaign.
Plaxco also had game-winning goals against Westminster (Utah), Sul Ross State and St. Mary's.
Midwestern State meets Southern New Hampshire in the national semifinal at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on Friday night at 7 p.m. CST.
