ABILENE, Texas - Midwestern State broke a two match losing streak with a 7-0 win over McMurry College (Texas) on Saturday morning at the Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center. The Mustangs did not drop a set in earning their second win of the season.

"This morning, we had better energy and focus between points than yesterday," MSU Texas head coach Scott Linn said.

The Mustangs earned their first doubles point of the season when Alexandre Crepy/Abhiram Venkatachalam blanked Zach Miller/Brynson Harmon 6-0 at number two before the top tandem of Angel Palacios/Alberto Diaz took down Chase Daniell/Carlos Martinez 6-2.

In singles action, Brice Bradshaw stepped back into the lineup at the number six line and cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brynson Harmon. Abhiram Venkatachalam dispatched Reid Smith at the number four line 6-0, 6-2 to stake the Mustangs to a 3-0 lead. 

Jean Muniz kept the momentum rolling for the Mustangs with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Joseph Diaz at the number five line.

"Good job by Brice (Bradshaw) and Jean (Muniz) stepping in to start this morning," Linn said. 

Freshman Alexandre Crepy continued his strong start with a straight set win over Zach Miller 6-2, 6-1 at number three before No. 5 Angel Palacios and Alberto Diaz closed out the match with 6-2, 6-2, and 6-4, 6-1 wins respectively.
