WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State coach Bill Maskill unveiled a talented 2020 recruiting class with a balance of size and speed following a furious day of activity Wednesday on National Signing Day.

The strong class of prospects includes 38 prep standouts who chose to continue their gridiron careers and suit up for the Maroon & Gold.

"I think we have a lot of athleticism and I am really proud of how hard the coaches worked and where they went to find these guys," Maskill said. "I think it is very balanced on both sides of the ball. I think we really hit on some fine, fine football players as well as student-athletes."

The Mustangs inked 22 defensive position 10 defensive backs, six linebackers and six defensive linemen.

The class also includes 16 offensive position players including seven offensive linemen, three tight ends, three wide receivers, two running backs and a quarterback.
