PORTALES, N.M. - The Mustangs close out the regular season on Saturday afternoon against possible first round playoff foe Eastern New Mexico. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. Central Time.
LAST TIME OUT
Midwestern State had a rough go of it Thursday night at the First United Bank Center. The Mustangs were ice cold fromn the floor, shooting a season low 18.3 percent, while producing their lowest scoring output of the campaign in a 66-34 loss to No. 25 West Texas A&M. Senior
Mica Schneider, who scored double digits in her last five games and had 20-or-more points in four of her last seven games, and redshirt-freshman
Frances King, who had a career-high 23 points Saturday against Oklahoma Christian, did not score and were a combined 1-of-16 from the floor. Meanwhile, junior forward

Kityana Diaz had six points each. Defensively, MSU Texas held West Texas A&M to a 41.3-percent shooting night, but the Lady Buffs connected on 23-of-34 free throws to pull away from the Mustangs.
PLAYOFF PICTURE
Midwestern State dropped to 11th place in the Lone Star Conference Standings. The Mustangs clinched a playoff spot on Thursday night with UT Permian Basin's loss to Lubbock Christian. UT Tyler is ineligible for the playoffs as they transition from Division III to Division II.

POSTSEASON BOUND AGAIN
Midwestern State punched their ticket to the postseason on Thursday night for the third straight season and for the eighth time in the last nine years. The Mustangs' last playoff win came during the 2014-2015 season, when the Mustangs won two games at the LSC Tournament (lost in Finals) before losing in the First Round of the South Central Regional.
SERIES HISTORY
Midwestern State leads the all-time series 29-22 despite losing five of the last seven meetings. The teams split last season's two meetings, with the Greyhounds winning 80-64 in Portales and the Mustangs winning 75-71 in Wichita Falls.
MY BALL
Mica Schneider has committed zero turnovers over the last three games and is tied for first in the LSC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.2 (96/44). It is the longest stretch without a turnover since Schneider's freshman season, when she posted four straight games without one.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico earned their 19th win of the season on Thursday night, with a 93-74 victory over Cameron. The 93 points tied a season-high. The Greyhounds have already secured a playoff berth and currently occupy the fifth spot in the LSC standings. Zamorye Cox (12.2 PPG) and Natalie Delonge (11.9 PPG) pack a formidable scoring punch for an ENMU team that averages 67.6 points per game (seventh in LSC). Alivia Lewis averages a team best 8.3 rebounds per game, the second highest mark in the league while Jasmine Williams sits fifth with 8.0 rebounds per game. The Greyhounds are the only team in the league with two players averaging eight or more rebounds per game. ENMU ranks 17th in the country and first in the LSC in three-point defense, holding opponents to just 26.5 percent from deep.
