DURANT, Okla. – The Mustangs meet Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday. First serve is at 11 a.m.
SERIES HISTORY
The Mustangs have dominated the Savage Storm, compiling a 20-1 mark. MSU Texas ripped off 16-straight wins in the series before finally losing in 2009. Since the loss, the Mustangs have won four straight, with the last two coming via shutout.
SIZZLING CIZERON
Playing at No. 1 singles on Friday for the first time this season,
Lea Cizeron earned a statement win, downing No. 9 Kim Moosbacher 7-6, 7-5 to clinch a 7-0 win for the Mustangs over Oklahoma Baptist. Cizeron is 3-2 on the season.
20/20 VISIC
Emilija Visic is off to a 4-0 start in singles play. The freshman, who has occupied the No. 4 line this season, is the only MSU Texas singles player with an unblemished record (minimum two matches played).
SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma State fell to 2-2 on the season after a 2-0 start with a loss to Northeastern State (Okla.) on Friday.
CATCHING UP WITH COACH LINN
Scott Linn enters his 10th season at the helm of the Midwestern State men's and women's tennis teams. Since arriving in the fall of 2010, Linn coached teams have made 15 total NCAA Tournament appearances.
