The Mustangs and Rattlers meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday before the Maroon and Gold welcome the Savage Storm at 3 p.m. on Friday Please note that the start time in Thursday's match has been pushed back an hour due to the threat of inclement weather.

Linn Nears Win No. 300 in the Maroon and Gold
Scott Linn enters his ninth season at the helm of the men's and women's tennis programs, needing 24 wins for his 300
th overall win at MSU Texas. The East Central graduate has posted a 276-124 (.690) combined record with the Mustangs, including a 132-62 (.680) mark with the men's program. He needs 231 wins to match Larry Wiggins (1995-2010) program record of 507.

Mustangs Drop Three Spots in ITA Poll
Midwestern State moved down three spots to No. 17 in the Oracle/ITA Division II men's national rankings on Feb. 20. At the time of the ranking, MSU Texas had yet to play its first regular season match.

The Mustangs represent the highest-ranked squad in the Lone Star Conference and South Central Region.

Palacios Clinches Season-Opener
Sophomore
Angel Palacios erased a first-set deficit as MSU Texas rallied for a 4-3 win over Laredo Community College at the Waco Regional Tennis & Fitness Center in the season-opener.

The Mustangs rallied from a first-set hole on three of the six singles courts to upend the Palominos, the nation's No. 4 junior college program.

Westwick and Diaz Start Top-10
The tandem of freshman
Ben Westwick and sophomore
Alberto Diaz earned the No. 8 national doubles ranking in the fall after advancing to the ITA Cup.

The Mustangs dominated the regional rankings with four doubles teams and five individuals earning a spot in the poll.

Alex Martinez Roca and
Denney Norrie came in at No. 4 after advancing to the semifinals of the regional tournament, followed by
Dillon Pineda and
Nolan McCaig at No. 5. The pair of
Jean Muniz and
Angel Palacios rounded out the rankings for the Maroon and Gold at No. 7.

In singles, McCaig (10th), Palacios (11th) and Pineda (13th) climbed up the regional standings after moving to the Round of 16 at the regional tournament. Martinez Roca (17th) and
Yaswanth Mylavarapu (20th) closed out the poll.
