Storylines
Mark Ryal
Mark Ryal enters his third season as the head coach of the Maroon and Gold. The former Major Leaguer has led the Mustangs to a 39-52 (.429) record and a pair of ninth place finishes in the LSC.

Hot Starts
The Mustangs opened the season with a 5-2 start for the second-straight season under Mark Ryal. Five players are hitting better than .300, including outfielders Lauren Lindgren and Kelsey Eropkin at .478 and .458, respectively.

Home Magic?
MSU Texas looks to snap an 11-game home losing streak on Tuesday after meeting the top four teams in the Lone Star Conference at Mustangs Park last season. The Maroon and Gold are coming off a 1-14 season at home with four of the five series against teams ranked in the NFCA Top 20.

Lindgren Picks Up Hit No. 100
Junior outfielder Lauren Lindgren recorded her 100th career hit in the top of the sixth in Saturday's win over Missouri Southern. The Denton product drove a one-out RBI single back up the middle to score Eropkin and stretch the Mustangs lead to 4-1.

In three seasons with the Maroon and Gold, Lindgren ranks 13th all-time with a .336 career average, 11th with a .534 slugging percentage and 14th with a .392 career OBP.

Woolsey Drops Bombs
Senior infielder Carli Woolsey connected on her third home run in the first seven games on Saturday against Northwest Missouri State. Of her five hits this season, three have left the yard and is three away from matching a career-high.

All She Does Is Hit
Junior outfielder Kelsey Eropkin has picked up where she left off a season ago – logging hit after hit after hit. The Tulsa native has a pair of three-hit performances this season and is coming off a two-double outing against Missouri Southern. Eropkin has logged hits in six of seven games this season to go along with a .458 average.

Lancaster Keeps Winning
Senior Abbie Lancaster has racked up four wins already in the 2019 campaign, ranking second in the Lone Star Conference with a perfect 4-0 mark. After setting the MSU Texas single-season save record in 2018, Lancaster is one win away from matching her 2018 output. The Idabel, Okla., native is coming off a masterful complete game performance against Missouri Southern, scattering nine hits for one earned run.

LSC Poll
MSU Texas was projected to finish seventh in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. The Mustangs received 120 points to tie with Texas Woman's.
