FIRST SERVE: No. 14-ranked and Lone Star Conference regular season champions, Midwestern State begins postseason play at the LSC Championships on Friday in Corpus Christi at the HEB Tennis Center. As the tournament's No. 1 seed, the Mustangs earned a first-round bye into the semifinals and faces off with the winner of No. 50-ranked Texas A&M-Kingsville and Angelo State. First serve between the Mustangs and either the Javelinas or Rambelles is tabbed for 6 p.m. on Friday.

MUSTANGS OPEN UP THE POSTSEASON: The Mustangs eye their fourth conference tournament championship in the last five seasons this weekend in Corpus Christi. In the
Scott Linn era (since 2011) MSU has made the finals in six of seven seasons with championships in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

A DOUBLES SWEEP: Midwestern State swept doubles in 12 of its last 13 matches, including five-straight, with 13 wins. Further, each of the Mustangs' 16 team victories the season are credited, in part, by a sweep in doubles play. MSU sports an impressive 59-7 mark this season including an 18-4 mark at the No. 1line, 21-1 at No. 2 and 20-2 at No. 3. Junior

Ashley Ramirez, who are ranked sixth in the ITA Doubles national rankings, have won 12 of their last 13 matchups at No. 1.

#MADDOG: Senior
Maddy Coffman moved up to No. 23 in the ITA NCAA Division II singles rankings, posting a 14-6 mark from the No. 1 line this season. Only Alex Odell-Mechels (15 wins in 2009) owns more wins at No. 1 singles. Coffman has posted a combined 78-18 mark (.813) in her two seasons at MSU after playing her freshman year at Dallas Baptist.

#BINGO: Sophomore
Bianca Duff moved up the ITA NCAA Division II singles rankings at No. 66. The Geelong, Australia native has won seven of her last nine and 12 of her last 15 singles matches. She has a combined mark of 76-19 (.800) over the past two years including a 45-5 doubles mark. She is 31-0 playing at No. 2 doubles.

GRETA THE GREAT: Junior
Greta Lazzarotto became the 11th member of the 100-Win Club earlier this season and now owns 43 singles wins and 69 doubles victories for a total of 112. The Italian's .885 career doubles winning percentage is the second-best in program history, behind only teammate
Bianca Duff. This season, the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year owns a 21-1 record in doubles and is riding a 20-match winning streak with partner
Bianca Duff, tying Monika Graff and Leah Roberts's school-record set in 2010. In singles, Lazzarotto boasts a 9-12 record, primarily playing the No. 5 line for the conference champion Mustangs.

DASHING TO VICTORY: Lone senior
Daria Panferova has battled through injury to turn in exceptional results this season. She has strung together 15 consecutive victories at No. 3 singles and has combined with freshman
Maddie Rowe for a perfect 17-0 mark at No. 3 doubles. Panferova leads the team with an .814 career winning percentage, going 70-16 combined in her two seasons.

SMASHLEY: Sophomore
Ashley Ramirez was named to the All-Academic team and is currently ranked No. 6 in doubles with partner
Maddy Coffman, going 18-4 at the No. 1 flight this season. Her career .840 doubles winning percentage is the fifth-best in school history, owning a 42-8 career mark. Primarily playing the No. 4 line in singles, Ramirez is 13-8, including a 9-7 record at No. 4 and a perfect 6-0 in league play.
