THE RUNDOWN
WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State hits the road for Lone Star Conference play this weekend with a three-game series against Texas A&M-Commerce at the John Cain Family Softball Field.
Due to expected rain in the area over the weekend, the series has been moved up to a doubleheader Friday beginning at 3 p.m. while the finale is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. in Commerce.
LAST TIME OUT
- Midwestern State earned a season sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle State Tuesday in Goodwell with the Mustangs posting a 9-1 win in game one before overcoming a four-run deficit to record a 12-10 victory in game two

Amanda Thomas tied a career-high three hits as the Mustangs scored seven of their nine runs in the final two innings

Erin Knox matched a program record with five hits in game two to help MSU post the second-most hits in a single game in school history with 20 in the comeback victory

- Midwestern State is 3-5 in the series against Texas A&M-Commerce
- The two teams split the series last season in Wichita Falls with the Mustangs taking the two first games and the Lions closing out the series with back-to-back wins
