The Mustangs were originally slated to take on West Florida on Sept. 9th in Pensacola, but the game was canceled due to the threat of Hurricane Irma. - The Mustangs are off to their best start since going 7-0 in 2016. MSU also rattled off a 6-0 run to begin the 2015 campaign and are notorious quick starters during the Bill Maskill era.
