ON THE COURT
Midwestern State resumes the Red River Rivalry Saturday night against Cameron at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. The winner clinches the No. 2 seed in next week's Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament in Allen.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Cameron recovered from an a 81-67 home loss to West Texas A&M to win its last two games over Texas A&M-Kingsville (78-65) and Angelo State (79-54).
- The Aggies are 12-3 in Lone Star Conference play after opening the season by going 3-6 in non-conference play.
- Cameron ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in 3-point field goal percentage (39.0) and 10th in 3-point field goals per game (8.0).
- Junior guard Brandi Leal leads the nation 3-point makes per game connecting on 3.83 a contest. Leal has knocked down 22 of her last 49 (44.9 percent) over her last four games while averaging 17.3 points per game during the stretch.
- Leal has scored 18 points in each of her last three games and connected on at least five 3-pointers in eight games this season.
- Senior guard Jade Herl ranks 19th in NCAA Division II in 3-point field goal percentage (42.9 percent) and is 29th in made 3-pointers per game with 2.79.
- Senior guard Jazzmine Robinson leads the Lone Star Conference in scoring at 17.7 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists a contest.
- Robinson has scored in double figures in 21 of 24 games this season including 10 games with at least 20 points.
- Cameron is 12-0 during Lone Star Conference when it holds the opposition to 70 points or fewer. The Aggies are 0-3 when it allows more than 70 points during league play.
- Tom Webb is 76-109 (.411) in his seventh season at the helm of the Cameron women's basketball program.

ABOUT THE SERIES
- Midwestern State meets Cameron for the 67th time on the hardwood Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The Mustangs own a 42-24 advantage in the series which dates back tot he 1975-76 season.
- MSU has won the last seven meetings between the programs and 12 of the last 13 dating back to the 2006-07 season with CU's only victory coming by a 67-51 count on Dec. 13, 2010 in Lawton.
- The Mustangs have won the last six games played between the programs at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Cameron's last win in Wichita Falls came on Dec. 6, 2005 (72-65).

LAST TIME OUT VS. CAMERON
- Midwestern State rolled to its third straight win snapping Cameron's five-game winning streak 79-70 on Jan. 31 in Lawton.
- Senior guard Lisa Hampton connected on five 3-pointers in the first half including three straight to ignite a 13-3 run midway through the half as the Mustangs led by as many as 14 points in the opening half.
- Hampton finished with a team-high 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting including a career-high matching five triples.
- Senior forward Andrea Carter notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
- Senior guard Dianna Jones scored 11 points and dished out eight assists as the shot 44.6 percent from the floor.
- Senior forward Taylor Dowd splashed in a season-high 14 points off of the bench.
- Cameron senior guard Jazzmine Robinson recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Aggies.
- Senior guard Brandi Leal splashed in three of CU's five triples of the game to finish with 12 points.

MUSTANGS NOTEBOOK
- Midwestern State clinched its second 20-win season in the last three years with a 78-63 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- It was MSU's sixth 20-win campaign since joining NCAA Division II in 1996-97... The Mustangs can clinch the No. 2 seed in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament with a win over Cameron in the season finale Saturday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- Senior forward Andrea Carter (Angleton, Texas / Angleton HS) moved past former teammate Kirsti Degelia (1,396 points/2010-14) and Lounette Adkins (1,395 points/1978-79, 80-81, 93-95) to become the sixth player to score 1,400 points in program history and has accounted for 1,413 career points.
- Carter needs four rebounds to become just the second player in program history to amass 1,000 career boards and needs 19 more pass Alice Edwards (1,014 rebounds/1981-85) to become the all-time leader.
- Senior guard Lisa Hampton (Kennedale, Texas / Nolan Catholic HS) matched a career high with five 3-pointers to finish with a team-high 15 points Saturday against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
- Hampton has knocked down five triples eight times in her career and four times this season.
- Hampton has connected on 62 3-pointers this season which is tied for the second most in program history with Julie Lovett (1996-97) and Brandy Moore (2007-08) and needs 12 more to match Lynn Buckmaster (74/1993-94) for the most in a single season in MSU program history.
- Senior guard Dianna Jones (Hewitt, Texas / Midway HS) dished out a career-high 11 assists in Midwestern State's 78-63 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville.
- The total matched the fifth most in program history and matched her 11-assist effort against Southern Nazarene last season.
- Jones' assist explosion allowed her to jump past Julie Skelton (351 assists/1979-81) into third on MSU's all-time assist chart with 356.
- Jones needs one assist to notch her second-straight 100-assist campaign.
- Senior forward Shambreka Jones (Mesquite, Texas / Poteet HS (Charleston Southern)) swatted her 47th shot of the season to move into third place on MSU's single season blocked shot list and needs 10 to pass Rulinda Vogtsberger (56/1979-80) and Monica Miller (49/1994-95) on the Mustangs' all-time single season list.
- With 74 career blocked shots, Jones stands fifth on MSU's all-time list one behind Jel-Ani Armstrong (75 blocked shots/2002-04).
- Senior guard Janae McJunkins (Wagoner, Okla. / Wagoner HS (Murray State)) knocked down a career-high four 3-pointers to finish with a career-best 12 points Saturday against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
- Freshman guard Whitney Taylor (Melissa, Texas / Melissa HS) drilled a season-high three 3-pointers to finish with a career-high nine points Saturday night against Texas A&M-Kingsville.

THE JOHNSON ERA
- Noel Johnson is in her seventh season at the helm of the Midwestern State basketball program.
- Johnson boasts a 110-82 record (.573) while leading the Mustangs to the NCAA Division II postseason in each of the last two seasons including a trip to the South Central Region finals in 2013.
- Johnson reached milestone victory No. 100 with a 61-47 win over Texas Woman's University on Jan. 1, 2015 in Denton.
- Midwestern claimed its first NCAA postseason tournament wins taking down Tarleton State and Metro State (Colo.) in 2013 before falling to No. 4 Colorado Mesa in the regional final.
- Johnson led the Mustangs to its first Lone Star Conference championship in 12 seasons claiming the 2012-13 title.
- Johnson garnered Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 before earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' Small College Coach of the Year accolades in 2013.

UP NEXT
- Midwestern State competes in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament next week at the Allen Event Center.
- With a win over Cameron, the Mustangs go in as the No. 2 seed and will play Eastern New Mexico Wednesday at noon.
- With a loss to Cameron, the Mustangs go in as the No. 3 and would play either Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas Woman's or Tarleton State Thursday at noon. In that scenario, if TWU beats A&M-C Wednesday the Pioneers are the No. 5 seed and the loser of Saturday's TSU/A&M-C game is the No 6 seed. If TWU loses to A&M-C Wednesday, the Pioneers are the No. 6 seed and TSU/A&M-C will play for the No. 4 seed Saturday in  Stephenville.
