SCOUTING THE JAVELINAS
- Texas A&M-Kingsville (0-24) is still searching for its first win of the season.
- The Javelinas completed their home slate with an 0-12 mark with games remaining at Midwestern State and Angelo State.
- Sophomore guard Micah Weaver erupted for a season-high 20 points Wednesday night against Cameron to raise her scoring average to a team-high 11.4 points per game.
- Senior forward Lauren Jay delivered her third straight double-digit scoring effort Wednesday against Cameron finishing with 13 points and eight rebounds. She has scored 10-or-more points 12 times this season.
- Junior guard Ashley Viera knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to score 9 points against Cameron. It was her first made treys since hitting three against the Aggies on Jan. 21.
- Wade Scott is in his first year at the helm of the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball program after spending the last eight seasons as an assistant at the University of Houston.

- Midwestern State has dropped two of its last three after winning 17 of 19 games.
- The Mustangs are 19-0 when scoring 60-or-more points this season and 0-5 when they score less than 60.
- Midwestern shot a season worst 43.5 percent from the free throw line Wednesday against Angelo State. The Mustangs have shot worse than 70 percent as a team from the charity stripe just four times this season and never worse than 64 percent prior to Wednesday.

Andrea Carter posted her 10th double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Angelo State. Carter has scored in double figures in 12 of her last 13 games.

Noel Johnson is in her seventh season at the helm of the Midwestern State basketball program.
- Johnson boasts a 109-82 record (.571) while leading the Mustangs to the NCAA Division II postseason in each of the last two seasons including a trip to the South Central Region finals in 2013.
- Johnson reached milestone victory No. 100 with a 61-47 win over Texas Woman's University on Jan. 1, 2015 in Denton.
- Midwestern claimed its first NCAA postseason tournament wins taking down Tarleton State and Metro State (Colo.) in 2013 before falling to No. 4 Colorado Mesa in the regional final.
- Johnson led the Mustangs to its first Lone Star Conference championship in 12 seasons claiming the 2012-13 title.
- Johnson garnered Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 before earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' Small College Coach of the Year accolades in 2013.
