WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State senior duo
Bretson McNeal and
Khapri Alston flashed senior form Wednesday night leading in a 108-55 win over Huston-Tillotson in exhibition play at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Nelson Haggerty said. "They are getting the job done both on and off the floor. That's a great benefit for this team and this program."
McNeal buried six 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists, while Alston bullied his way to an 8-of-10 shooting night on the way to 19 points and seven rebounds.
But it was the acrobatics of
Trevor Fuller that gave the Mustangs separation from the Rams in the early going.
The junior from Dallas scored eight consecutive points to ignite a 20-2 run including three dunks as MSU turned a 9-8 deficit at the 16:17 mark of the opening half into a 28-11 lead with 10 minutes left until halftime.
Fuller, who had 12 points and blocked four shots, slammed in another dunk to start another 7-0 run which culminated with a McNeal's fourth triple of the first half and layup by Alston as the Mustangs led 47-25 at the break.
MSU pushed the lead to as high as 57 points as the rout was on the in the second half.
Senior guard
Jordan Stevens added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists as four MSU players landed double figures.
Sophomore
Nick Powell led MSU bench mob with nine points, while junior
Sheldon Hagigal pitched in seven.
Mike Udume,
Pat Smith and
Matt Pollard all had four points each.
Seven
DeVaughn Jones pitched in five points, eight rebounds and two steals in 14 minutes off of the bench.
Rodney Brown scored 11 points to lead Huston-Tillotson, which fell to 1-2 on the season.
Midwestern State opens the regular season Sunday night against NAIA Oklahoma City at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
