WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State coach Jeff Trimble announced the signing of three prep standouts to National Letters of Intent Wednesday morning.

The class includes a pair of strikers in Ashley Jenkins of Liberty Christian in Argyle and Destinee Williamson of Euless Trinity High School as well as goalkeeper Brooke Bottensek of Sugar Land Dulles High School.

"We are really excited about the talent level of this recruiting class and believe they will have an immediate impact on the field," Trimble said. "Each of these girls has the potential of lobbying for a starting position. They will provide us with much needed depth in the offensive third and in goal."

Jenkins, a 5-6 forward, has helped Liberty Christian to the TAPPS playoffs in each of the past three years as she led the team in goals and assists as junior last season earning gaining second-team all-district honors. Her efforts played a key role in the Warriors' run to the TAPPS Division I state semifinals playing for coach Sarah Hawkins.

Jenkins, who earned all-district honorable mention as a freshman and sophomore, helped her Texas Spirit North '96 club squad coached by Quen Willis qualify for Lake Highlands Division I play after taking second in the Division II in 2012-13.

"Ashley is a very strong, skillful forward who can hold the ball and generate good offense," Trimble said. "She has the ability to attack the goal and finish."

Williamson, a 5-7 forward, adds speed to the mix after helping Euless Trinity High School to back-to-back bi-district titles in 2012 and 2013. She was an All-District 6-5A selection for coach Kurt Clawson.

She competes on the club level for coach Scott Kerlin's Andromeda FC '96 Red squad.

"Destinee has great speed and enjoys taking people on," Trimble said. "She is capable of making dynamic runs which makes her dangerous in the offensive third."

Bottensek comes from a very athletic family as she becomes the third member of her family to compete at the collegiate level. Brothers Casey and Corey competed on the gridiron at Lamar (2009-13) and Ohio Wesleyan (2012-present), respectively.

Bottensek played a key role in helping Fort Bend Dulles High School to a state playoff appearance last season after earning All-District 23-5A honors last season for coaches Cynthia Bird and Andrew Hartman.

She competes on the club level for coaches Rafa Brazo, Steve Williams and Nathan Day of the Eclipse Soccer Club.

"Brooke is a very athletic goalkeeper with good size and a high skill level which enables her to make saves," Trimble said. "She makes good decisions when coming off of her line and is very strong in the air."

Midwestern State claimed its fourth Lone Star Conference championship posting a 13-5-3 record last season as the Mustangs advanced to NCAA Division II postseason play for the third time in four seasons.
