WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The Midwestern State Athletic Department is set to induct three outstanding former student-athletes and another upstanding community member for meritorious service into its 2014 Hall of Honor class during Homecoming festivities Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

This year's honorees include women's basketball standout Julie Lovett-Castles (1993-97), basketball star Marquette Wilkins (2001-04), soccer All American Daniel Woolard (2003-06) and long time booster Marie Morgan.

The induction ceremony will conducted prior to the halftime Homecoming festivities during MSU's football game against Texas A&M-Commerce Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Midwestern State University Athletic Hall of Honor represents the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the MSU Department of Athletics. The accomplishments of those enshrined exemplify the character, spirit, commitment and high level of achievement reflect the honor, excellence and traditions of our university.

Individuals are recognized for their contributions as student-athletes, coaches, administrators or outstanding advocates of Midwestern State Athletics.
Â
Julie Lovett-Castles (1993-97)
Â
Julie Lovett-Castles played a role in helping Midwestern State to consecutive NAIA Division I national tournament appearances and to 81 wins during her collegiate playing career.
Â
The guard from Holliday finished her career ninth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,081 points and is one of just 19 players to score a 1,000 career points for the MSU women's basketball program.
Â
Lovett-Castles averaged 8.3 points per game while shooting 55.9 percent as a freshman to help coach
Jeff Ray's Lady Indians to a 28-6 record and to the Round of 16 at the NAIA national tournament in Jackson, Tenn.
Â
Midwestern State returned to the Sweet 16 the following year with Lovett-Castles netting 6.2 points per game as a sophomore.
Â
She developed a deadly 3-point shot as an upperclassman shooting 34.3 percent from the arc as a junior upping her average to 9.5 points per game, then connected on 35.2 percent from the arc as a senior tallying a career-high 11.5 points per contest.

Lovett-Castles also earned Lone Star Conference All-Academic team honors as a senior.

Marquette Wilkins (2000-04)
Â
Marquette Wilkins ranks among the best point man to ever play in Midwestern State's great basketball lore.
Â
The 5-11 guard out of Austin Connally High remains MSU's all-time assists leader (465) and ranks eighth with 1,667 points.
Â
Wilkins earned All-Lone Star Conference honors and was named the league's defensive player of the year pouring in 17.4 points and 4.4 assists per game after garnering preseason honorable mention All-America honors as a senior in 2003-04.

He closed out his career with a masterful 39-point performance against Tarleton State in the opening round of the LSC tournament in Stephenville.
Â
Wilkins was an All-LSC second-teamer averaging a collegiate-high 18.1 points per game while dishing out 3.9 assists a contest as a junior.
Â
He averaged in double figures in each of his four seasons at MSU wrapping up with 11.6 points per game as a freshman and 12.9 points per game as a sophomore.

Daniel Woolard (2003-06)
Â
Daniel Woolard stands as one of the finest defenders to ever play in the storied history of Midwestern State soccer.
Â
The Bedford, Texas earned NSCAA All-America honors and was the Southwest Soccer Conference Defender of the Year as a senior in 2006 when he led the Mustangs to an 18-2-2 mark while reaching the South Central Region finals.
Â
Woolard, who also gained first-team All-SSC honors in 2005 and 2006 after gaining second-team mention as a sophomore in 2004, closed his career with the second most starts in school history with 80.

He notched two goals and dished out an assist in his four collegiate seasons, but was a stalwart for one of the best back lines in NCAA Division II each season of his career as he was a part of 38 shutouts.
Â
Following his collegiate career, Woolard was drafted in the fourth round of Major League Soccer's 2007 Supplemental Draft by the Chicago Fire.
Â
After spending the 2007 season on reserve, he appeared in 16 matches in 2008 and 2009.
Â
Woolard competed with the Carolina Railhawks of the NASL before making his return to MLS with D.C. United where he made 73 starts from 2011-13.

Marie Morgan
Â
Marie Morgan is lifelong supporter of the Midwestern State Athletics program and the namesake for its most outstanding student-athlete award.
Â
Each year, the Morgan Award is presented to the top female and male student athlete for their tireless efforts on behalf of his or her team and the entire program and for exemplary participation throughout the community on behalf of Midwestern State University.
Â
Morgan freely volunteers her time and effort into many projects and is a cherished citizen of the community of Wichita Falls.
Â
Her late husband, C.O. Morgan, is also a member of the Midwestern State Athletics Hall of Honor and once served as M-Club President.
