ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and Ouachita Baptist meet for the sixth time on the hardwood Tuesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. LAST TIME OUT VS. OUACHITA BAPTIST
Ouachita Baptist's Austin Mitchell buried six first-half 3-pointers as the Tigers roared out to a 37-13 lead just 11 minutes into the contest last November at Bill Vining Arena in Arkadelphia. Behind a dogged performance from junior Monzaigo Williams (13 points, 10 assists), the Mustangs were able to claw back to within 66-62 with 6:26 to play but that's as close as it would get. Senior forward Corbin Thomas, senior guard Kevin Grayer and sophomore guard Keith Spellman all had 12 points while junior forward Eddie D'Haiti chipped in 10. Mitchell finished with 20 points leading the Tigers while Micah Delph pitched in 14 points and six assists.
