The No. 25 Mustangs seek back-to-back road wins for the first time this season as they visit the Angelo State Rambelles in Lone Star Conference play.
Midwestern State (8-3, 3-2) is coming off a wire-to-wire 76-62 triumph at Abilene Christian on Thursday night. Angelo State (6-5, 3-2) returned from the holiday break on Wednesday when they dropped a 70-61 decision at Cameron.
Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State is facing game four of a five-game road swing, bouncing back from consecutive losses for the first time this year with a strong, wire-to-wire win at Abilene Christian.
The Mustangs have their first-ever national ranking as a Division II program when MSU was tabbed No. 25 in the Dec. 18 WBCA's USA Today Sports Division II Coaches Poll, with the next to be issued on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
The Mustangs are paced by the powerful duo of junior Kirsti Degelia and sophomore Andrea Carter.
Degelia leads the Mustangs offensively. The honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference performer a season ago is a junior from Denton, Texas/Krum who's leads the LSC in scoring with 16.1 points a game, and averages 2.9 assists a contest while grabbing 4.9 rebounds a game.
Carter, who has won the LSC Defensive Player of the Week award twice this year and the LSC Offensive Player of the Week award once, has posted six double-doubles in 11 games this season. The sophomore from Angleton is second on the team and seventh in the LSC with a 13.4 scoring average. She leads the squad, is second in the LSC and 14th nationally with 10.8 rebounds and is second in the conference with 2.6 steals a contest.
Sophomore Shatoia Gober of Waco, Texas/Midway contributes 10.3 points a contest to go with her 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals an outing. She is also shooting 50.5 percent from the floor (47-of-93).
Sophomore Diana Jones of Hewitt, Texas/Midway is averaging 7.6 points a game, adds 3.4 assists an outing, fourth in the LSC. She has nailed 12-of-32 3-point attempts (.375) to go with her 2.0 steals a contest.
MSU is averaging 71.7 points with 41.1 rebounds a game. The Mustangs allow opponents 63.3 points a contest.
ABOUT THE RAMBELLES
Angelo State is coming home to the Junell Center/Stephens Arena for just the fourth time this season when they host the Mustangs.
The Rambelles of coach Sally Brooks (an alumnae of MSU) are 6-5 overall, 3-2 in the LSC. The Belles have LSC losses to Tarleton State and Cameron.
ASU is paced by sophomore forward Haylee Oliver of San Saba who is averaging 14.0 points and 10.3 rebounds, third in LSC in both categories. She's sixth in the league in 3-pointers per game with 1.8 and is fourth in 3-point field goal shooting at 39.1 percent (18-of-46).
Junior guard Leah LeMaire of Corpus Christi/Carroll is 10th in the LSC in scoring with 12.9 points a game to go with her 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
Junior forward Lauren Holt of Christoval chips in 11.5 points a game (13th in the LSC) to go with her 9.2 boards a game (fifth in the league) and her LSC leading 2.5 blocks a game.
The Belles average 64.9 points a game, while allowing 62.0 points.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State faces Angelo State for the 53rd time when the teams meet on Saturday.
Angelo State leads the series 28-24 and has a commanding 20-4 advantage in San Angelo. The Mustangs have not beaten ASU in the Junell Center. The last Midwestern win over ASU in San Angelo was a 70-61 win on Jan. 23, 1997 in the ASU Physical Education Center.
Midwestern is 19-8 against the Rambelles at Ligon Coliseum, and holds a 1-0 advantage in neutral site games.
The Mustangs claimed an 83-70 win at Ligon Coliseum on Feb. 4, 2012 after falling to the Belles 64-58 on Dec. 12, 2011.
