The winner moves on to face either Tarleton State or Arkansas Tech in the regional title game Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL
The South Central Regional features six teams ranked in the final National Association of Basketball Coaches' Top 25 and will be held at historic D.L. Ligon Coliseum for the third time since Midwestern State made the jump to NCAA Division II prior to the 1996-97 season.
Midwestern State hosted its first regional in 1999 when the then-Indians fell to Truman in the semifinal round. MSU returned a vengeance win 2010 when the Mustangs rolled to wins over Incarnate Word, Tarleton State and Central Missouri to earn its first NCAA Division II Elite Eight berth.
The stacked regional bracket included No. 5 MSU, No. 9 Tarleton State, No. 15 Arkansas Tech, No. 19 Washburn (Kan.), No. 21 Northwest Missouri and No. 23 Missouri Southern as well as West Texas A&M and Heartland Conference champion St. Mary's.
In the opening round, Arkansas Tech defeated West Texas A&M 79-68 and Tarleton State eliminated Missouri Southern 69-52 in first opening session on Saturday before Midwestern State beat St.Mary's (Texas) 62-54 and Washburn upended Northwest Missouri 69-60 in the second session.
Sunday's semifinals include Arkansas Tech (25-5) against Tarleton State (27-5) at 5 p.m. before Midwestern State (27-3) squares off with Washburn (25-7).
The victors move on to the championship game which is set for Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
The winner advances to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight from March 21-24 at the Bank of Kentucky Central on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Ky.
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State notched its 27th win for the seventh time in school history with a 62-54 win over St. Mary's in the South Central Region semifinals Saturday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Mustangs are appearing in their seventh regional semifinal since joining NCAA Division II in 1996-97. MSU advanced to the regional finals with wins over Northeastern State in 2000, Tarleton State in 2010 and Missouri Southern in 2011.
MSU is now 5-1 in NCAA Division II postseason games under dome including wins in its last five as its only loss game to Truman State (Mo.) in 1999.
The Mustangs are 14-15 all time against the current membership of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association including a 2-3 mark against the league in the NCAA postseason. MSU has won the last two by beating Central Missouri 60-59 in the regional final in 2010 before eliminating Missouri Southern 75-52 in the semifinal round in 2011.
Midwestern State is 6-7 all time in ranked versus ranked games, but is 2-1 this season - all against Tarleton State. The Mustangs are 26-44 all time against ranked opposition and is 1-3 against 19th-ranked squads including a loss to Northeastern State in 2001, a win over Abilene Christian in 1999 and a loss to Texas A&M-Commerce in 1997.
ABOUT THE ICHABODS
Red-hot Washburn rolls into Sunday's regional semifinal game against No. 5 Midwestern State on a seven-game winning streak and having won 12 of its last 13.
The 19th-ranked Ichabods' lone loss during the stretch came in an 85-79 overtime loss at Missouri Southern on Feb. 15 in Joplin.
WU rolled through the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament with wins over Emporia State (67-51), Fort Hays State (67-54) and Pittsburg State (67-63) before upending conference foe Northwest Missouri (69-60) in the opening round of the NCAA postseason Saturday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Washburn split a pair of games against Lone Star Conference competition back in November as the Ichabods fell to Cameron 61-54 on Nov. 18 and beat Tarleton State 61-57 the next day with both games as a part of the Texans Tipoff Classic in Stephenville.
Senior guard Will McNeill paces the Ichabods averaging 20.1 points per game. The Daktronics All-South Central Region and All-MIAA first teamer also pulls down 5.4 rebounds with 1.9 assists and 2.3 steals a contest.
Junior guard Martin Mitchell directs the offense with 10.2 points and 3.7 assists per game while junior forward Bobby Chipman chips in 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
The Ichabods also receive significant contributions from sophomore guard Jeff Reid (6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds), sophomore forward Alex North (6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds), junior forward Zack Riggins (6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds) and freshman guard Kyle Wiggins (5.4 points, 1.4 rebounds).
Washburn's Bob Chipman has compiled a 721-295 record (.710) in now is 33rd at the helm of the Ichabods.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and Washburn meet for just the second time and for the first time since 1977 on the hardwood in Sunday NCAA II South Central Region semifinal at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
MSU's Ron Taylor poured in 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pull the then-Indians to a 94-86 win over the Ichabods as NAIA All America guard Henry Crawford added 24 points.
Washburn was paced by Dave Hull with 25 points and four rebounds while Sam Thomas added 17 points and Gary Anthony added 12.
Midwestern is 14-15 all time against the current membership of the MIAA.
