Midwestern State looks for a three-game winning streak and a sweep in the season series when they host the Incarnate Word Cardinals Wednesday night.
MSU is 16-4 overall, 12-2 in LSC action after Saturday's 83-70 win over Angelo State. Incarnate Word stands at 11-10 overall, 6-9 in the LSC after falling to Tarleton State 68-64 in San Antonio on Saturday.
Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State avenged a December loss on Saturday with an 83-70 win over Angelo State. The Mustangs have won 15 of the last 17 games and 12 of their last 13 contests. They have also earned a berth to the Lone Star Conference Tournament in Allen, their first tournament appearance since 2003.
MSU boasts a pair of double-figure scorers this season led by senior guard Savannah Carver, the LSC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Amarillo native ranks thid in the LSC with 16.0 points per game while connecting on 1.7 3-pointers a contest.
Sophomore guard Kirsti Degelia scores 11.5 points a contest, while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor and adds 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Freshman Dianna Jones tallies 9.1 points a game for the Mustangs. She is connecting on a 1.0 treys an outing and leads the Lone Star Conference in 3-point percentage by nailing 47.4 percent (18-38). The Waco Midway High product pitches in 1.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
Senior forward Cierra Thompson adds 9.0 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Senior forward Jazman Patterson, LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Jan. 24, adds 6.2 rebounds a game to go with her 6.6 points and 44.2 percent shooting from the floor.
MSU leads the Lone Star Conference averaging 74.6 points and is second in the league with 42.3 rebounds a game. The Mustangs allow opponents 66.4 points a contest.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Incarnate Word enters the game with an 11-10 overall record, with a 6-9 Lone Star Conference mark. The Cards have lost three of their last four contests.
UIW is paced by Ifunanya Mora who averages 11.9 points a contest. The 5-9 sophomore also adds 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals an outing.
Katy Cooke collects 11.6 points a game. The 5-16 junior connects on 1.3 3-pointers while adding 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals a game.
Ashlyn Green is averaging 11.0 points a contest for the Cards. The 5-7 junior contributes 11.0 points with a 41.3 shooting percentage.
Jocelyn Jarmon leads the team with 7.7 rebounds to go with 9.7 points a game and a 47.0 shooting percentage from the floor.
The Cardinals are averaging 62.5 points a game, while allowing the opposition 58.3 a contest.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State faces Incarnate Word for the 17th time on the hardwood Wednesday when they meet at Ligon Coliseum.
MSU holds an 11-5 series lead over Incarnate Word, with a 7-2 record in Wichita Falls. In fact UIW has only beaten MSU once on the floor at Ligon, a 70-66 win on Dec. 30, 2004. The other loss was a forfeit for use of an ineligible player in the 1990-91 season. UIW has a 3-2 record against MSU at home, while MSU has a 2-0 mark on neutral floors.
MSU has won the last two games and has claimed victories in six of the last seven outings including the 68-50 win against the Cardinals at the McDermott Center on Dec. 14.
UIW last beat MSU 60-51 at the McDermott Center on Jan. 22, 2011.
