Payton Fookes played a key role in the onslaught by blasting in a free kick in the fourth minute then assisting (
credited or not) on two more MSU tallies. It was the Mustangs' first multiple-goal performance of the season. The Mustangs will now effort to crack the win column on their pitch where they are 0-4-1 this season.

- The Mustangs tallied multiple goals for the first time this season in a 4-1 win at West Texas A&M in its 13th match this season. MSU had never gone more than three games into a season without scoring more than one goal in a game.
- Sophomore forward Payton Fookes' foot played a role in three of MSU's four goals Sunday against West Texas A&M. She blasted in a free kick for her third goal of the season, recorded a first-half assist then her crossing pass in the 90th minute led directly to Cottrell's second tally of the contest.
